What Stage 1 covers in community guides
Player-authored Steam walkthroughs label Stage 1 as levels 1–10 and provide compact move strings using U/D/L/R notation. Those strings are community solutions for specific layouts, not developer patch notes.
Achievement text on Steam and consoles treats early stage clears as milestone trophies, which makes Stage 1 both a tutorial and a trophy on-ramp.
Use Stage 1 to learn budgeting. If you cannot explain why a published string works, you will struggle when Stage 2 introduces denser traps.
When public sources disagree on a packaging detail—such as Steam listing Dudeeki as publisher while console pages list Afil Games—this site keeps both credits visible instead of collapsing them into a single invented studio story.

How to use a text walkthrough without softlocking your learning
Reveal one level’s string only after two honest attempts. Execute it once, then immediately replay from memory.
Translate UDLR into your actual controls before moving. Mixing notations mid-maze is a frequent self-inflicted fail.
If a string fails, consider version or platform differences before assuming you misread it. Record the mismatch in your notes and fall back to planning from scratch.
Because every step and push draws from a limited action budget, treat each maze as a planning problem first and a movement problem second. Look at the cheese, the blocked corridors, and anything that would force a detour. Count the cheapest path in your head before you commit the mouse.
When a route fails, restart promptly rather than forcing a near-miss path that cannot recover. Community players repeatedly note that retries are part of the intended loop, especially while learning how barrels, fake walls, and enemies interact with the move counter.
Keep a simple notebook or mental checklist for recurring traps: thorns that punish careless travel, locks that gate the shortest corridor, and slimes that consume attack actions. Matching the right tool to the obstacle saves more runs than rushing the cheese tile.
Community duration claims are useful only as order-of-magnitude hints. A hunter who already knows Sokoban patterns will finish faster than a player learning push logic for the first time.

Example discipline for level 1-1 style mazes
Community strings for the opening layouts are short, which makes them good calibration tools. Count the moves in the string and compare against your remaining counter after a manual solve.
Do not paste an entire Stage 1 spoiler into chat for others without context; teach the budgeting idea instead of only the path.
Video learners can pair a muted demo with the text guide: pause, predict, then compare.

Achievements to keep in mind during Stage 1
Steam lists achievements for entering the first world, reaching cheese, discovering a fake wall, dying five and ten times, defeating a slime, arriving at a party, and dying on thorns. Several of those can appear while you are still in early content.
Console trophy roadmaps often recommend burning moves on level 1 to secure death trophies early. That is a hunter strategy, not a requirement for enjoying the campaign.
Cumulative barrel and slime trophies may need later stages; do not stall Stage 1 forever farming incomplete counters if the enemies are scarce.

What to do when a Stage 1 level feels impossible
Re-check for fake walls and alternate barrel parking. Steam’s fake-wall achievement is a design signal that secrets exist.
Restart as soon as the counter cannot mathematically reach the cheese even with perfect remaining play.
Switch to a mechanic-focused article (barrels, locks, slimes) rather than grinding the same mistake.
Whenever a mechanic is only attested by a single player report, the page labels it that way. Cross-checked labels require either official text or two independent public sources.
